The British Shakespeare Company will perform in Prague
The best known and most successful open-air Shakespeare Company in Europe, The British Shakespeare Company, will visit the Prague Castle as part of its European summer tour.
The British Shakespeare Company is a guarantee of idyllic summer evening. The British Shakespeare Company will perform the first time in Prague, mounting two of its most popular titles, 21st and 23rd August 2009 playful romantic charade full of intrigues and pitfalls Much Ado about Nothing and 22nd August 2009 will present a magical comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream, the story telling magic of young lovers.
In the role of Titania we will see lovely Daniela Lavender, an actress originally from Brazil who draws extra Shakespearean inspiration as she is married to world-famous actor and renowned Shakespearean Sir Ben Kingsley. The Prague Castle will welcome also popular British actress Roxanne Pallett as Cobweb and Hero, Mark Arden, Steven Blakeley, Louisa Lytton, Gabriel Thomson and Robert J Williamson.
Performed in beautiful Elizabethan costumes by a cast of 16 of Britain’s finest professional Shakespearian actors, the shows includes live music and hilarious comedy all set in the stunning natural surroundings that Shakespeare intended for his plays.
Altogether three performances will take place within The Summer Shakespeare Festival, which thanks to The British Shakespeare Company will extend its program to include three performances in English.
